Greg Thompson is a four-time public company CFO and board professional with extensive global experience across several industries including industrial, healthcare, and technology enterprises. He has expertise driving growth and shareholder value through M&A, strategic planning, turnaround strategies, financial restructurings, and operational improvements.

Greg began his career at Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand. In 1990, he transitioned to Wang Laboratories, a technology company. After completing a successful financial restructuring and turnaround at Wang in 1997, he moved to Sensormatic Electronics where he became CFO in 2000. Following the sale of Sensormatic, he became CFO at Invacare Corporation, a global medical equipment provider, in 2002. While at Invacare, he completed a number of successful international acquisitions. In 2008, he transitioned to EVP and CFO at Axiall Corporation, an international marketer of chemicals and vinyl building products. During his time at Axiall, he completed a successful financial restructuring, a major acquisition and integration, and a complete ERP implementation on the combined company. After full integration, the combined company traded at over 10 times its 2008 value. Following a takeover, the company was sold in 2016 to another chemical company. He transitioned to retirement after the sale, but later decided to rejoin the corporate world as EVP and CFO of KEMET Electronics in late 2018. KEMET was sold in 2020. He left in 2021 after assisting with the integration.

Now retired, Greg focuses on giving back through several non-profit organizations. He is president of First Tee Broward, board member of First Tee Gold Coast, and a national trustee. He is also vice chair of both Junior Achievement of South Florida and the Virginia Tech Foundation. He has a passion for youth development and education, and strives to leverage his business experience and professional network to maximize the impact at the organizations where he serves. Greg also serves on the board of directors of Ascent Solar, a publicly traded company which manufactures thin-film solar products used in space, defense, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Greg earned a B.S. in accounting from Virginia Tech in 1977.
