Elections

Nominations for officers in the society open July 1.

If you are interested in nominating yourself or encouraging someone else to run, please complete the application process. We anticipate the awards process will be competitive, so please be sure to follow the instructions carefully.

All materials should be submitted at the VTBAS Officer Nomination. In addition to requested written information, a brief 30 second video is required. The video should indicate why you would be a good fit for this role and why you feel Hokies should vote for you. Videos will be posted on the VTBAS site for consideration.

No application will be considered unless all requested materials are submitted. Additional supporting materials (e.g. a summary of past officer or committee experience, a listing of relevant skills) are strongly encouraged.

The Virginia Tech Black Alumni Steering Committee will compile a ballot and circulate it electronically for a vote. Nominations and elections will be conducted electronically.

Officers will be installed at the Virtual Black Alumni Summit on Aug. 13–14. Please plan to attend.
