COVID-19 update

Based on an abundance of caution and deep concern for the possible risk that travel and assembling in crowded spaces creates, we are compelled to cancel the Old Guard Society of Golden Alumni Reunion. In the coming few days, we will be in touch regarding any registration fees already paid. 

In choosing this regrettable but prudent step, we are in line with public health guidelines regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus, as well as appropriate procedures determined by Virginia Tech’s COVID-19 Committee. Catch up with friends and reminisce about the good times as a student during the society's reunion! We're hosting this year's reunion at the Hotel Roanoke for an exciting and new opportunity to explore Virginia Tech's presence in Roanoke!

  • Tour the Virginia Tech Carilion medical campus.
  • Hear from Fralin Biomedical Research Institute researchers.
  • Receive updates from university leadership about Virginia Tech's future.
  • Enjoy a special performance by Maestro David Stewart Wiley & Friends on Friday evening for a classics meet jazz musical experience.

We will be celebrating anniversaries for the classes of 1965, 1960, 1955, 1950, 1945, and 1940, but all society members are welcome to join. We look forward to seeing you in Roanoke.
