Ex Lapide Planning Meeting

Hokies celebrating Denim Day

Saturday, Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ex Lapide will host two pivotal retreat-style meetings. Join us for part one on Feb. 8. The planning meeting will include:

  • A student panel.
  • Summer retreat planning.
  • Committee development.
  • Goal planning.
  • Executive board and committee design.

The evening will include a community social. As a follow-up to the February meeting, Ex Lapide members are also planning meetings June 5-6 during Reunion Weekend. The summer session will be led by an outside facilitator and will focus on developing a plan of action for the next 18 months.

If you are unable to attend both meetings, but still wish to be involved in planning, you may sign up for one.

About Ex Lapide

Ex Lapide Alumni Society (Latin for “Out of Stone”) is a free Virginia Tech alumni society for LGBTQIA+ Alumni and their allies. Our mission is to engage and build a network of LGBTQIA+ alumni, students, and friends. We hope to encourage fellowship and to represent the needs and interests of LGBTQIA+ alumni and supporters. Alumni, students, faculty, and staff are all welcome to attend events, volunteer, and participate in planning.

We need the help of alumni, students, faculty, staff and allies to expand our network and ensure the continued success and growth of Ex Lapide. Volunteers are needed to plan and strategize for both existing and innovative new programs, which will ensure the continued success and growth of Ex Lapide. This is your opportunity to shape the future of the society.
