Virginia Tech Texas Tour

Join fellow Hokies in Texas May 13-16 when Virginia Tech hits the road to the Lone Star State. We’re hosting four events across Texas. Connect and learn from fellow Hokies while enjoying food and drinks. Here’s what’s planned.

Hokies for Good: Texas Expedition for Global Distinction 

Hear stories from Hokies changing the world for the better with their work. Explore what drives them while learning about Virginia Tech Global Distinction, the university’s commitment to institutional excellence across research, teaching, and engagement.

Hokies for Good Dallas

  • When: Monday, May 13 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Location: The Henry, 2301 N. Akard St. Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75201
  • Price: Registration is $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event. Registration includes hors d’oeuvres and drinks as well as a $5 gift to the Dallas Fort-Worth Scholarship Fund. Onsite registration will be accepted until we reach capacity.

Hokies for Good San Antonio

  • When: Tuesday, May 14 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Location: Fogo De Chao, 849 E. Commerce St. #393, San Antonio, TX 78205
  • Price: Registration is $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event. Registration includes hors d’oeuvres and drinks as well as a $5 gift to the San Antonio Scholarship Fund. Onsite registration will be accepted until we reach capacity.

  • When: Wednesday, May 15 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Location: The Austonian Club, Top Floor
  • 200 Congress Ave. Austin, TX 78701
  • Price: Registration is $10 and $5 of your registration is a gift supporting the Austin Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund. Pre-registration is required and all participants must present ID at check-in. Register early. Space is limited.

Hokies at Work Houston

  • When: Thursday, May 16 from 6-8 p.m.
  • Location: The Houston Space Center, 1601 E NASA Parkway Houston, TX 77058
  • Price: Registration is $10 with $5 serving as a gift supporting the Houston Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund. Pre-registration is required and all participants must present ID at check-in. Register early. Space is limited.
