Our 2018 award winners
In September we asked for nominations for the Virginia Tech Influential Black Alumni Awards.
This year's winners are:
- Athlete of the Year: David Clowney
- Educator of the Year: Carmen Sanders
- Entrepreneur of the Year: Portia Moore
- Outstanding Recent Alumnae: Rianka R. Urbina Dorsainvil
- Philanthropist of the Year: Edward H. Baine
- Ut Prosim co-recipients: Deseria Creighton Barney and Erick King
They will be honored during the 2018 Virginia Tech Black Alumni Reunion during a special awards ceremony highlighting and celebrating their accomplishments and commitment to excellence.
