Cornerstone Lunch with the College of Engineering

Join us in Richmond for lunch to celebrate Cornerstone Alumni and learn more about the College of Engineering. 

Cornerstone Alumni are Hokies who have graduated more than 50 years ago or more. They are Virginia Tech's most engaged and passionate alumni. 

Educating leaders of tomorrow, conducting life-changing research, and solving complex problems is the focus of Virginia Tech Engineering. David Knight, special assistant to the dean of Engineering will talk about how the college focuses its work for greatest impact. Virginia Tech Engineering is the fifth largest engineering college in the nation and the highest producer of engineers in Virginia.  

Come for lunch and  get an exclusive view on how the college is making a difference in the commonwealth and the world through its strategic initiatives. Registration includes a full lunch at Fleming's. 

About David Knight

David Knight is an associate professor in the Department of Engineering Education at Virginia Tech and affiliate faculty member with the Higher Education Program, Center for Coastal Studies, Center for Human-Computer Interaction, and the Human-Centered Design Program. He leads several multi-institution, interdisciplinary project teams with funding from the National Science Foundation (more than $8 million, with more than $3.5 million personal share) and places a strong emphasis on partnerships, including working with a range of higher education institutions, the National Society of Black Engineers, and the Virginia Department of Education.
