Cornerstone Alumni are hosting several service events in their communities to take part in the annual Big Event tradition.
Cornerstone Big Event at Pulaski County Public Schools
- Date: Wednesday, March 27
- Time: 10-11:30 a.m.
- Location: Pulaski County Public Schools' School Board Office, 202 N. Washington Ave., Pulaski, VA 24301
- Cost: Registration is free but required. Registrants can make an optional gift to The Market of Virginia Tech, a pantry providing food assistance to students.
- Details: Cornerstone members will assist with Pulaski County Public Schools' nutrition program by packing weekend meal totes (backpacks) for the school district's at risk and low income students. All registered alumni will need to provide their driver's license or state issued ID upon check-in. Participants may bring food items to support the school's food pantry. A donation list from Pulaski County Public Schools will be provided at a later date.
Cornerstone Big Event at Henrico County Public Schools
- Date: Thursday, April 11
- Time: 10-11:30 a.m.
- Location: The Oak Avenue Complex, 15 S. Oak Ave., Highland Springs, VA 23075
- Cost: Registration is free but required. Registrants can make an optional gift to The Market of Virginia Tech, a pantry providing food assistance to students.
- Details: Cornerstone members will assist with Henrico County Public Schools' nutrition program by packing weekend meal totes (backpacks) for the school district's at risk and low income students. - Time: 10–11:30 a.m.
- Location: Roanoke City Public Schools Central Office, 40 Douglass Ave. NW, Roanoke VA 24012
- Cost: Registration is free but required. Registrants can make an optional gift to The Market of Virginia Tech, a pantry providing food assistance to students.
- Details: Cornerstone members will assist with Roanoke City Public Schools' nutrition program by packing weekend meal totes (backpacks) for the school district's at risk and low income students. - Time: 1-3 p.m.
- Location: P. B. Young, Sr. Elementary School, 543 East Olney Road, Norfolk, VA 23510
- Cost: Registration is free but required. Registrants can make an optional gift to The Market of Virginia Tech, a pantry providing food assistance to students.
- Details: Cornerstone members will assist with Norfolk Public Schools' nutrition program by packing weekend meal totes (backpacks) for the school district's at risk and low income students.
