Live from the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab!
Tuesday, Oct. 29 from 6-7:15 p.m. EST
Virtual via Zoom
Registration is $10 and includes a custom Virginia Tech Helmet Lab drawstring sports bag and helmet decal (for your own sports helmet!) and a $5 gift to the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab Annual Fund.
Join Barry Miller, director of outreach, for a live virtual tour of the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab. Experience the cutting-edge technology used to test and enhance helmet performance.
Plus, learn about the STAR rating system (Summation of Tests for the Analysis of Risk) and why helmets are crucial in preventing head injuries and trauma, no matter the sport or activity.
The Virginia Tech Helmet Lab is a comprehensive injury biomechanics lab. In addition to their world-renowned helmet ratings, they also test NERF toys for the Hasbro toy company and drone impacts for the Virginia Tech Mid-Atlantic Aviation Partnership and Federal Aviation Administration. The STAR ratings have led to vast improvements in helmet design and have protected athletes of all ages.
Registered attendees will receive a virtual Zoom link on Monday, Oct. 28. Please be sure to register with a valid email address in order to receive the link.
