More info: Let the chapter know you are attending here. Join us for this two-mile round trip hike on a moderate difficulty trail. Be sure to bring your own water and snacks. There is free parking at the Environmental Center and restrooms are available when the center is open. In the event of bad weather, additional details will be announced on our Facebook and Instagram

More info: Register here. Meet us at Northern Fauquier Community Park. When you enter the park, turn left on Ross Drive and we will meet at the first parking lot by Oak Glen Shelter. If the weather is bad on Oct. 15, we will postpone for Oct. 22. Please check Facebook for any updates if the weather is looking bad on Oct. 15.

More info: Register here. We will assemble in parking lot one, the large lot on the left with the picnic shelter. We will start walking the blue trail before catching the red to go towards the water, looping back around to the parking lot. For anyone interested, after the hike we will be going to Stonefield Cellars Winery for post-hike socializing. In the case of inclement weather, a cancellation notice will be sent out via email and social media by 11 a.m. the day of the hike. We hope to see you there!

More info: Register here. The Oak Park Trail is a 2.2-mile out-and-back trail. We will exit the trail after about 0.75 miles and then hike the Buzzard's Roost Trail eventually looping back on to Oak Park Trail for the downhill return. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.

More info:  We’ll meet at the Stream Trail sign by the Canyon Meadow Parking Lot, the last parking lot. The weekend is busy so allow time for parking. The hike is approximately two hours and between four to six miles with ~600 feet elevation. Plan for shaded trails with cooler temps and bring layers, raingear, and plenty of water! More info: Register here!  Join us at Harvey Manning Trailhead to hike Anti-Aircraft Peak in the Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park. Hike is rain or shine, and there is no parking pass required. More info: Join the Triangle Alumni Chapter for an approximately four-mile loop covering part of the Loblolly (moderate, hiking) and Reedy Creek (moderate, multi-use) trails at Umstead State Park. Use the Reedy Creek Entrance (Exit 287 off of I-40) and meet us at the Loblolly Trail trailhead around 9:50 a.m. We will start our hike at 10 a.m. Kids and leashed pets are welcome and Hokie gear is encouraged! Please bring your own water and snacks. Let the chapter know you are attending here. Those interested are welcome to join us for post-hike socializing at a TBD local brewery. In the case of inclement weather, a cancellation or reschedule notice will be sent out via email and social media by 9 a.m. the day of the hike.
