Cornerstone Alumni Workshop: Long-Term Care Options

Registration is $10 and includes continental breakfast, lunch, and a $5 gift to the Gerontology Annual Fund.
Learn about options for long-term care in a workshop hosted by Cornerstone Alumni.
Joani Latimer, state ombudsman, will discuss the levels of care offered, services reimbursed at the state or federal level, and how assisted living and nursing care providers are regulated in the commonwealth.
Participants will learn to tour a retirement community and understand their latest survey and any deficiencies. Latimer will also speak about advocacy's role in the ombudsman program and consumer rights in long-term care.
