The Alumni Weekend schedule outline is below.

Registration includes access to all scheduled events, including tours and sessions, plus meals, happy hours, and drinks! When you sign up, the weekend is all inclusive. We’ll handle the fun, food, and more.

Attire for the weekend is Hokie Casual.

An information table and check-in will be available for all guests at the Holtzman Alumni Center starting on Wednesday, June 4.

Thursday, June 5

  • 8:30-10 a.m. Cornerstone and 50th breakfast with colleges (Squires, Commonwealth Ballroom)
  • 10:15-noon Morning speaker sessions and behind-the-scenes tours
    • 10:15-11 a.m. School of Communication Multimedia Center Tour (Moss Arts Center, Room 153)
    • 10:15-11 a.m. XPRIZE Rainforest Competition Presentation (Squires, Colonial Hall)
    • 11:15 a.m.-noon Corps of Cadets Upper Quad Tour (Meet in Squires near Alumni Mall)
    • 11:15 a.m.-noon Native Species and Seasonal Container Gardening (Squires, Colonial Hall)
  • 12:30-1:45 p.m. Cornerstone and 50th lunch (Squires, Commonwealth Ballroom)
    • Enjoy lunch with fellow Cornerstone and Class of 1975 alumni with a Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets update. Welcome Commandant, Major General Seely.  
  • 2-5 p.m. Afternoon speaker sessions and tours

    • 3-5 p.m. Student Design Team Simulation - SolarCAR  Open House (Graduate Life Center Plaza)
    • 3-5 p.m. Visit a Model Residence Hall room Open House (Vawter Hall)
    • 3 p.m. Student Led Campus Walking Tour (Near Squires)
  • 6-10 p.m. Cornerstone Alumni and 50th Reunion Induction Banquet (Squires, Commonwealth Ballroom; attire is semi-formal)
  • The Hokie Shop Bookstore hours (115 Kent Street)
    • June 5-6: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
    • June 7-8: 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
  • All weekend. Hahn Garden self-guided tour, pick up a map at the garden. (200 Garden Lane)
  • All weekend. Virginia Tech Disc Golf Course. Stop by the Virginia Tech Golf Course Pro Shop to pick up and scorecard and to learn more. (Duck Pond Drive)
  • All weekend. Noon-6 p.m. Breakzone is Virginia Tech’s home of billiards, bowling, and table tennis. Breakzone relaxing environment offers a way to spend some time with friends or family. Available for free for Alumni Weekend attendees (Squires)
  • All Weekend. Bike rentals available (Venture Out)
  • 2-5 p.m. Student Design Team Simulation - SolarCAR (Graduate Life Center Plaza)
