Aging in Community Workshop

Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Registration is $10 and includes lunch, an Aging in Place workbook, and a $5 gift to Virginia Tech's Gerontology Annual Fund.
Carlisle Shealy, assistant director of Virginia Tech's Center for Gerontology, will lead a workshop and community discussion. She will explore personal reflection, intentional planning, and the development of action plans to address successfully aging in place.
The workshop will also cover housing, health and wellness, transportation, personal finance, and connection and growth. Participants will also learn how to facilitate small group discussions on these topics with friends and peers in their communities.
