Executive Committee
Vonda Paige '86
Vice President
Communication
Vonda believes the time and investment we made in Virginia Tech was the foundation for our future lives and careers. Everybody has a story to tell about how they made it, and what they learned as Hokies is now part of that story. With significant achievers among our alumni, their stories should be shared and celebrated.
She would like to create a series of virtual and in-person events where alumni can share stories with each other and with current students. Through the pandemic, we have learned that virtual connection programs using technology and social media are possible and cost effective. A few of her ideas include interviews with alumni about their lives and careers after Tech, networking and career webinars, and amplifying the use of platforms like LinkedIn to create pathways and connections for each other. She would also like to invite alumni from all career sectors to participate and speak and create social media content on careers, networking, and life lessons.

As an officer, Annette is hoping to assist in the successful launch and sustainment of the VTBAS. There are many important issues to address for Black Virginia Tech students and alumni. As a long-term supportive alumnus, she plans to use her passion for anything Hokie, prior board experience, and practical knowledge to help advance the issues that are very important to most of us.
