Denver Chapter Student Scholarship

Dear Future Hokie,

Congratulations on your acceptance to Virginia Tech! The members of the Denver Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association are excited about your interest in our university.

We believe that the education we received at Virginia Tech is second to none and we want to encourage students to attend Virginia's BEST state university. Therefore, one of our chapter goals each year is to provide scholarships to worthy high school seniors who will attend Virginia Tech in the next academic year. We have provided tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships over the last decade.

Our criteria for selecting scholarship recipients include academic achievement, participation in community and school extracurricular activities, and awards/honors received. In addition to several regular scholarships, we award one enhanced scholarship to the applicant who has best exemplified our school motto — Ut Prosim — through outstanding community service.

If you are interested in applying for one of our scholarships, please complete the application and submit by Jan. 1. Please note that this is a FIRM DATE because we plan to announce our scholarship recipients on Feb. 1.

Also, in June of each year we host a picnic to recognize all of our Colorado students who will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall, and we encourage you to attend. We will announce the date of the picnic in the spring.
