Cincinnati Chapter Student Scholarship

Dear Prospective Hokie:

Congratulations on your acceptance to Virginia Tech! Virginia Tech is a proud university with numerous educational opportunities – both inside and outside of the classroom. Because our alumni believe that the education we received at Virginia Tech is second-to-none, we are excited to see that you have accepted your invitation to attend Virginia’s great land grant university.

As Scholarship Chair of the Cincinnati Alumni Chapter, and a graduate of the Class of 2000, I would like to inform you about a scholarship our chapter plans to award to a worthy high school senior in our area who will attend Virginia Tech in the fall of 2024.

The scholarship application is attached to this email. Applications must be completed and submitted to the scholarship committee no later than Jan. 1. Late applications will not be accepted.

Please note you must have sent in your official acceptance to Virginia Tech to be eligible for this award. The criteria for selecting the scholarship award winner include academic achievement, participation and/or leadership in extracurricular activities, and community support as derived from the responses of your scholarship application and admission essays. We plan to announce our selection by mid-June.
