Chris Bryan

For 15 years, Chris Bryan has led the technology, health information management, and public policy initiatives at Clarity Child Guidance Center, a children-only psychiatric hospital in San Antonio. Prior to that, her work experience includes the design of military medical systems and large-scale application implementations in the corporate, government, and nonprofit space.
In her policy role, Bryan has worked diligently on mental health parity legislation and was appointed to the state Mental Health Parity Workgroup. In her oversight role of digitized health information at Clarity, she is actively involved in getting technology and interoperability for mental health providers throughout Texas. She serves as the secretary of Healthcare Access San Antonio, the area’s regional health information exchange, and was appointed as the behavioral health chair for the state eHealth Advisory Committee.
Bryan is a leadership Fellow with the Texas Hospital Association and is influential in their behavioral health policy development. She attended Virginia Tech and UTSA, earning a bachelor's degree in computer science, and holds an MBA in electronic commerce from Our Lady of the Lake University. Bryan co-founded the Virginia Tech Alumni Chapter in San Antonio and is an active fundraiser for the Computer Science Department.
