Lauren Baker

Lauren Giacco Baker holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from Virginia Tech. Her professional career was spent in the financial services industry as a vice president at both MBNA America Bank and Bank of America.

Today, Baker dedicates her time to advancing philanthropic and cultural initiatives in the greater Jacksonville community. She currently serves as the chair of development and the vice chair of collections and exhibitions on the Board of Trustees for MOCA Jacksonville, a cultural institution of the University of North Florida. Baker also serves as member of the First Coast YMCA Metropolitan Board and the Board of Trustees for the Museum of Science and History in Jacksonville. She has been recognized as the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year by the First Coast Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in recognition of her deep commitment to nonprofit leadership and service.

Baker remains engaged with Virginia Tech through her service on the Virginia Tech Alumni Association Board and as a member of the Ut Prosim Society. She lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL with her husband and their four children.
